Hearty Treats Made Easy with Stampin' Up!

 

I really enjoyed making these more than I should, especially since I don't have any kids yet. But once my cellophane treat bags arrived (on sale now on the Clearance Rack) I immediately bought some M&M's to fill them with. I got a regular 1lb bag and made 15 'sticks'. Plus, I only ate 12, which was what was left over that wouldn't fill a whole tube. What's better, you get more M&Ms in these than in a 'fun size' packet. What's so fun about eight or so candies, when you can get double into these?

 

The bags are self adhesive at the top and fold over nicely. I do wish, in hindsight, that I had left two candies out for more room to work with a flat part of the bag, but I made do with extra dimensionals stacked double between the hearts to make them wide enough, plus a glue dot on each side of the closure.

 

I tried to make mirror images of the punches for the other side to adhere to. You can see this somewhat in the photo on the middle 'lacy' heart. The best part about glimmer paper is you get the fun of glitter, without the mess.

 

I'm going to hand these out with business cards at work to see if I can drum up some interest.

This card is inspired by the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. When I first opened my Sycamore Street Sale A Bration Designer Series Paper I noticed that blue circular pattern and immediately thought of water and clouds so I was glad I got the chance to use it today, and make it into a cute valentine for hubby at the same time.
